Storm Chaser

TIV-2 is basically a storm chaser vehicle that the Discovery Channel featured in its new TV-series. Unlike its predecessor, it “has sides fitted with hydraulic skirts that can be dropped down to direct high-speed wind safely around the truck.” Video after the break. More pics after the jump.

Whether the skirts are down or up, this sucker’s imposing thanks to a chassis based on the 2008 Dodge 2500 4×4 with a 1/8th inch welded steel plate body over a steel frame.

Aston Martin One-77

Finally, the Aston Martin One-77 has been revealed. At $1.9-million, it boasts a “700 HP, 7.0-liter V12 and an already spoken-for run of only 77 units.” More pics after the jump.

We should be way, way more excited about these shots, but it’s pretty true to all of the previous teasers, so there aren’t any real surprises here.

Aston Martin DB7

In addition to being painted with 24-carat gold leaf, this Aston Martin DB7 is “actually part platinum for longevity, but we still wouldn’t advise running it through a car wash, especially since we’re not sure how the seven (as in 007) diamonds are attached to the bodywork.” More pics after the jump.

Gold isn’t known to the be the most durable of materials, which is probably why over-the-top tuning firm Alchemist left it off the bumpers and rockers.
