BioWare Team Dresses Up as Team Fortress 2 Characters for Halloween

BioWare’s crew, producers of games like Mass Effect, dressed up as Team Fortress 2 characters for Halloween. The “scout, demo man, spy, pyro and engineer” to be exact. More pics after the jump.

The good news here is that it looks like BioWare had an awesome day at the office. The bad news? It looks like they’ll have to push Dragon Age back a day, because they couldn’t have gotten any work done.

I think between this and the Lil’ Mega Man costume we can conclude that Halloween is the best time for awesome dads to work on really fun, nerdy costumes with their kids.

Inside the T-Mobile G1

So you’ve seen the T-Mobile G1 and its Android interface, now take an inside look at the phone’s internals. Here’s something you probably didn’t know: “the trackball module is the same part that RIM uses in Blackberrys.” Video after the break. More pics after the jump.

There was an immediate snag: two chassis screws wouldn’t undo, so they had to force the casing. Once inside though, the phone revealed itself to be the standard messy circuitry and wire-looms affair, with a couple of minor surprises.

The Screen 2 docking station “extends your phone’s standard feature set to include email, web browsing, photo viewing, video watching, document browsing, speaker phoning, and AIM/MSN chatting all via touchscreen.” One more picture after the jump.

Technically it COULD be used with smartphones like the iPhone or Blackberry but I see a much bigger boon with older mobile phones.

Located in Kazakhstan, the incredible Astana Pyramid “was designed by british super-architects foster + partners, [at the] cost [of] 8.74 billion kazakh tenge”, or $56-million USD. More pics after the jump.

…a plan of the pyramid. the interior is just as impressive as the outer skin. this place is like a tardis and below the above-ground pyramid itself sits, amongst other things, an enormous 1,500 seat opera house.
